With time on our hands while staying in Brockville, with my daughter and her family for our summer vacation this year, we decided to explore the Historic Brockville with a walk through its residential and business districts. We were able to discover such beautiful old historic buildings that we came back two and in fact three times to make sure we hadn’t missed anything.
My drivers and guides for this little expedition were Ally and Seb Gauthier – the eldest of my 5 grandchildren. They did the driving and the scouting of our potential “targets”…
One of the things I had noticed when going around Brockville was the fact that many of the older homes and building had a plaque affixed to them indicating that the building was a Brockville Historic Landmark. Interesting says I to myself, this maybe something to explore back home in the Philippines. I am trying to get more information on the program from Brockville City Hall and will eventually report my findings on the historicoldphilippines Facebook page.
