The Road Stories
We’ve modified the pictures section of the site by adding new pictures and a new system for viewing them. Check it out, we think you’ll enjoy it. And the best thing is, if you see a picture you like in either of the two presentations you can stop the show and download that photo to your desktop for your future enjoyment.
There are still two presentations:
1. for the churches we have visited, and

This is Episode III of our saga and we continue our visit of the Ave Maria Shrine on Baalan Bukid and we see “all the sights”. In addition to that when we come down from the Mountain we discover the Office of the Pagtaltal, which is in the midst of the preparations for the Pageant that takes place during Holy Week and specifically on Good Friday on Balaan Bukid.

This is Episode 2 of a series of 6 episodes on our exploration of Guimaras Island.
The ascent of Balaan Bukid in the early morning is best – we started out at about 6:40am and got to the top at about 7:30am – I wouldn’t recommend this walk if you leave after 11:00am it would just be too hot. But it is a great walk in nature and the sights and views are absolutely fabulous.

About a week ago, Joemarie, Nilo and I piled into the new ‘Wreck of the Road’ and headed out to Guimaras Island to explore and visit some significant church sites on this magnificent Island Province, home of the World’s Best and Sweetest Mangoes.
This is the first part of what is to be a 6 part series on our expedition.
